Petit Le Mans: Difficult weekend ends on podium high
The 22nd running of Motul Petit Le Mans was one of the toughest in the history of the classic endurance race, with exciting on-track battles, gambles on strategy and a sprint to the chequered flag. The podium for the MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport crew was all thanks to the team’s outstanding perseverance.

Double podium success at Sachsenring and top placings in the championship: Christopher Mies and Max Hofer fought their way to second and third place in the ADAC GT Masters. The strong performance allowed Hofer to win the junior title. In the team championship, MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport is in third place.
Two races with two nerve-wracking first laps: MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport’s appearance at the Hockenheimring made for an emotional weekend. Dries Vanthoor and Ricardo Feller finished second on Sunday and celebrated their third podium of the season. This also meant securing the Niederdreisbach-based squad a third place in the championship.
A double qualifying pole and a double race victory: It couldn’t have been a better result for MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport in the ADAC GT Masters Sunday race. Dries Vanthoor and Ricardo Feller secured a victory with the Audi R8 LMS GT3 #28 at the Circuit Zandvoort, finishing ahead of Christopher Mies and Max Hofer.
Solid points haul for some and bad luck for others: joy and sorrow were tightly intertwined during MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport’s third ADAC GT Masters weekend on the Red Bull Ring. Whilst Christopher Mies and Max Hofer scored good points with two sixth places, Dries Vanthoor and Ricardo Feller, despite being in promising form, nevertheless fell short of success with a twelfth place and a retirement. Local hero Hofer was also able to celebrate two podiums in the Junior class.
MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport’s weekend at the Czech Autodrom Most was nerve wracking, but nevertheless marked by a variety of highlights. Whilst Christopher Mies and Max Hofer secured their first podium, Dries Vanthoor and Ricardo Feller picked up further championship points.
Successful start to the new ADAC GT Masters season
There was no stopping Dries Vanthoor and Ricardo Feller on the first ADAC GT Masters race weekend. After a fourth in Saturday’s race, on Sunday the duo clinched the season’s first podium for the MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport team. Team mates Christopher Mies and Max Hofer rounded off the crew’s powerful performance with a Top 10 position and vital points.
Once again, the weather played havoc with the VLN. The second round of the season, a four-hour race around the Nordschleife, was cancelled after one round due to snow fall. Despite the bad weather, Audi Sport Team Land still came away from the weekend in high spirits after securing pole position.
MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport fell just short of a podium finish in Sebring for the third year in succession. As in 2017 and 2018, the team headed up by Christian and Wolfgang Land finished fourth in the GTD class. In spite of the disappointment, the team still collected vital points in the Michelin Endurance Cup.
