Land-Motorsport will once again be competing in the ADAC GT Masters this season – with a pair of familiar faces behind the wheel: Carrie Schreiner returns to the team she enjoyed numerous successes with in 2023, sharing the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo2 with Swiss driver Alain Valente.
“We can’t wait to be racing in the ADAC GT Masters again this year,” says team principal Christian Land. “We have a long and successful history in the championship and it’s great to be taking on the new season with such a strong driver pairing. Carrie and Alain have a great deal of experience from a variety of series and have both proven that they are capable of finishing at the sharp end of the field in the ADAC GT Masters.”
Carrie Schreiner’s first podium in the Super Sports Car League came in 2019, piloting an Audi R8 LMS GT3. Over the past two years she has also been gathering valuable experience in the Formula 1 scene as brand ambassador for Audi’s future F1 team, Kick Sauber F1, as well as racing in the F1 Academy alongside other future single-seater stars.
“With my connections to Sauber, I am delighted to be returning to GT3 racing in an Audi,” said Schreiner. “I think I have learned a great deal over the past two years and will be aiming to be fighting among the leaders this year. I am also really happy to be back with Land-Motorsport. I know the car and the team well, which makes it a great package overall. I have a fantastic teammate in Alain, who has already proven that he can battle for wins in the ADAC GT Masters.”
Among Valente’s achievements in the ADAC GT Masters is the second place in the driver’s championship in 2023. The Swiss driver, who made the step up to the GT3 category from GT4 racing, has also recorded numerous race wins in the series.
“I am looking forward to my third year in the ADAC GT Masters,” said Valente, “and think that we have a really strong programme together with Carrie and Land that will allow us to fight at the head of the field.”
The ADAC GT Masters calendar once again includes six race weekends this year, four of which together with the DTM. Dekra Lausitzring will play host to the first round of the season on the weekend of 23–25 May.
