Tyre gambles before the start, rain dances during the race — and in the end, a top-seven finish for Carrie Schreiner and Alain Valente at the Lausitzring. The opening weekend of the 2025 ADAC GT Masters season made one thing clear: the German-Swiss duo is set to score big this season!
“Bringing the car home in these tricky conditions was an impressive feat,” said team principal Christian Land after Sunday evening’s wet race. “While most of the field made mistakes, Carrie and Alain kept their cool and secured valuable points.”
It all began with Schreiner, who, starting from eleventh on the grid, gained crucial ground in the opening laps, laying the groundwork for the strong result. Valente then took over for the middle stint in the Audi R8 LMS GT3, pulling off more standout moves in the downpour. Even the race’s temporary suspension didn’t unsettle them.
By finishing seventh, they added another nine points to their tally. Just one day earlier, the Land-Motorsport pairing had already earned their first points of the season with a twelfth-place finish.
Carrie Schreiner and Alain Valente will have their next chance to score more points in the ADAC GT Masters in just two weeks. From 6 to 8 June, the series heads to the sweeping dunes of Zandvoort for the second race weekend.
