Giving up is never an option – whether on the track or in the garage. Land-Motorsport took centre stage at the ADAC GT Masters round at the Nürburgring, where the team pulled an all-nighter on Saturday to make a Sunday points finish possible.
While fireworks lit up the sky, music rocked the paddock, and the Truck Grand Prix delivered its usual party atmosphere, Land’s mechanics had little time to celebrate. After a technical issue forced the #68 Audi R8 LMS GT3 of Carrie Schreiner and Alain Valente to retire early from Saturday’s opening race, the crew knuckled down for a long night of repairs.
Nothing was left to chance – and their efforts paid off. Valente delivered a strong qualifying performance on Sunday, securing eleventh on the grid and setting the stage for a hard-fought 80-minute race. Schreiner and Valente made the most of it, charging to tenth at the flag. The duo also clocked the fourth-fastest lap of the race, underlining their pace.
With the Nürburgring done, the ADAC GT Masters heads into its summer break. The season resumes from 5 to 7 September at the Salzburgring in Austria.
