After the successful DTM weekend at the Nürburgring, Land-Motorsport will be looking to make another mark as the series reconvenes for the next round of the season at the Sachsenring on 22 to 24 August.
The Sachsenring is by no means unknown territory for the team from Niederdreisbach. Land-Motorsport’s last appearance at the circuit near Chemnitz came in 2022, in the ADAC GT Masters. Since 2016, the team have recorded two race wins and four further podium finishes at the track. Now the mission is to build on that past success in the DTM.
“I am really looking forward to the weekend!” said Ricardo Feller. “The Sachsenring is a fantastic circuit that’s always fun to drive. We were able to utilise the test day here to finalise our preparations for the weekend. It was good to get some laps under my belt, and the engineers had a chance to gather some important data. Now we are hoping that our efforts pay off and that we can benefit from the experience we have gained.”
There is already one benefit from this season’s DTM campaign, namely the collaboration with a strong media partner. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group and Land-Motorsport have extended their partnership, meaning fans will get to see the Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the colours of the streaming platform Joyn at all three of the remaining race weekends: at the Sachsenring, Red Bull Ring and Hockenheimring.
As usual, ProSieben will be broadcasting both qualifying sessions and the race live on Saturday and Sunday. What’s more, fans can also catch both of Friday’s practice sessions, which will be live streamed on Joyn.
