The ADAC GT Masters makes its return from the summer break on the weekend of 5 to 7 September. For Carrie Schreiner and Alain Valente, the fourth race weekend of the season carries extra significance: it marks the first time a professional GT3 series will compete at the Salzburgring.
Opened in 1969, the Salzburgring has long been a favourite venue for motorcycle racing and touring cars. In 2025, it will stage one of the standout events on the ADAC GT Masters calendar. With minimal run-off areas and a stunning alpine backdrop, the 4.3-kilometre circuit presents an entirely new challenge for the Audi R8 LMS GT3 pairing of Carrie Schreiner and Alain Valente.
“We were able to try out some things during testing and are confident ahead of the weekend,” says Schreiner. “But successful testing is only the half of it. Now we need to put what we learned into practice over the course of the weekend. I think that Alain and I have the potential to secure a top 5 finish, and we need to prove that in the second half of the season.
The weekend’s races will again follow the endurance format, each running for 80 minutes. TV partner Sport1 will be reporting live from Austria, while fans can also catch all the action on sport1.de and the series’ official website.
