More points for Land-Motorsport in the 2024 ADAC GT Masters: During their appearance at the Red Bull Ring, Juliano and Sandro Holzem earned additional points for the championship. The brothers made a statement with a flawless comeback race and setting the fastest lap in Sunday’s race.
“That was a really good day,” said Sandro Holzem after the tenth race of the season on Sunday afternoon. “After qualifying, we knew we would have good pace. We showed that in the race and finished in sixth place, which is a great result for us and the entire team.”
The key to their second-best finish of the season was an impressive comeback. Juliano Holzem started the race from 13th position, making up ground in the early laps. In the second half, Sandro continued the push. “We proved that we had a strong pace in both qualifying and the race,” said the 20-year-old.
Hardly any driver duo gained more positions on Sunday: Juliano and Sandro Holzem climbed up a solid seven places. “And there could have been even more,” noted Juliano, who also set the fastest lap of the race. However, a red flag several minutes before the end brought their charge to an early end.
Whether the 2024 ADAC GT Masters still holds a podium finish for them will be revealed from 18 to 20 October, when Land-Motorsport competes in the series finale at the Hockenheimring.
