Land-Motorsport will once again be spending the Whitsun long weekend in the dunes of Circuit Zandvoort this year as the DTM makes a stop at the historic circuit on the Dutch North Sea coast on the weekend of 22 to 24 May.
Following the top-10 result at the season-opener at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, the team from western Germany is full of confidence and motivation ahead of the second race weekend of the season. The aim is to build on the performance from round one and once again mix it up at the sharp end of the field.
“We know Circuit Zandvoort very well from recent years,” said team principal Christian Land. “The only difference is that this time we will be competing with the Porsche 911 GT3 R. For us, the weekend is about picking up where we left off in Austria and gathering more valuable championship points.”
Zandvoort has been a happy hunting ground for Land-Motorsport in the past. Drivers such as Ricardo Feller, Christopher Mies, Sheldon and Kelvin van der Linde and also team founder Wolfgang Land have stood on the podium in the Netherlands and put together successful race weekends. Now it’s up to young Dane Bastian Buus to continue the success story at the circuit. Buus has demonstrated on several occasions in the GT World Challenge or Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup that he knows his way around the tight and twisty Zandvoort track.
