MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport will be hunting for points in the ADAC GT Masters for the last time in the 2022 season. From 21 to 23 October, the three driver duos in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 are looking to again score top results at the Hockenheimring. Wolfgang and Christian Land’s team is also in the fight for the title in the teams’ championship.
More than anything, Christopher Haase and Salman Owega want to take the momentum from the Sachsenring to Baden-Württemberg. In the penultimate race weekend in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, the duo achieved their best result of the season with fourth place. Youngster Owega also secured his first podium in the junior class. “Things went really well for us at the Sachsenring. Of course, we want to build on that in the finale. We’ve been improving step by step over the course of the season. We have what it takes to take top results at the Hockenheimring as well,” says an optimistic Christopher Haase.
Christopher Mies and Tim Zimmermann as well as Ricardo Feller and Jusuf Owega also have what it takes to make it onto the podium in the two sister cars. However, two punctures at the Sachsenring prevented them from visiting the rostrum. The drivers therefore still have unfinished business: “We clearly have our sights set on the podium. The season got off to a bit of a rocky start for us, but over the course of the season we’ve gained momentum. That’s why we want to end the season on the podium,” says Mies combatively. Together with team mate Zimmermann, the Audi pilot clinched his first win of the 2022 season at the Lausitzring.
In the #29 Audi R8 LMS GT3, Ricardo Feller returns alongside Jusuf Owega. The duo also has one win this season under its belt. Adding to that, Owega went to the junior podium five times. Thanks to the solid team performance, Land-Motorsport is in third place in the teams’ classification – 21 points behind the leading duo.
As usual, the ADAC GT Masters races start at 13:00 on Saturday and Sunday. TV channel NITRO starts broadcasting at 12:30. In addition, the racing action can be followed live on RTL+ and afterwards the race can be watched in the media library.
