As the end of the 24H Series season approaches, the prestigious 24-hour race in Barcelona is on the schedule for the Land-Motorsport team. After winning the class last year, the squad is now looking to continue their success story. From 13 to 15 September, a quintet of ambitious drivers will take on the challenge of the endurance classic.
Getting behind the wheel of the fan-favourite Audi R8 LMS GT3 in Kirchhoff colours are Dr. Johannes Kirchhoff, Ingo and Tim Vogler, Wiggo Dalmo and Elmar Grimm. After the team from Niederdreisbach took home a class victory at the Hankook 12H Misano earlier this year, the ambitions for the finale in the north-east of Spain are equally high.
“Our drivers know where it counts this weekend. With these guys, we have everything we need to step on the podium again,” says team manager Christian Land. “It’s hard to believe that our second season with the Kirchhoff Group and the team of drivers in the #34 is already coming to an end in Barcelona. The collaboration means a lot to us, because in addition to success on the racetrack, we also have a good time off the track.”
Practice and qualifying on Friday: After the all-important on-track preparations in the middle of the week with the unofficial test, the official start of the weekend will be given on Friday at 12:45 with free practice. Shortly afterwards, qualifying begins at 17:35. What makes qualifying unique is that it is divided into three qualifying sessions, from which an average time ultimately decides the final starting positions. The day will end between 20:45 and 22:15 with the mandatory night practice, during which the drivers will get accustomed to racing in the dark.

Race day: Lights for the 24-hour race traditionally go green on Saturday at noon sharp. Then it’s all about the drivers, mechanics and the entire team doing a flawless job. As always, fans, partners and friends will have access to an onboard stream from the car.
