The next stop on the Land-Motorsport calendar is one of the highlights of the season: the fourth round of the DTM, taking place at Nuremberg’s iconic Norisring street circuit from 3 to 5 July. For Bastian Buus, it will be his first race weekend at the Bavarian venue and is a challenge he is eagerly anticipating.
“I can’t wait to get started this weekend,” said the Porsche driver. “It’s not often that I get to race at a completely new circuit, but that’s the case with the Norisring. It’ll also be the team’s first time there with this car, so we’ll have a lot to learn from the very first session and plenty of things to try. I’m expecting an action-packed race with lots of overtaking opportunities, as the track is very wide.”
The young Dane will be aiming to turn his promising pace into a strong points haul at round four. Land-Motorsport have shown encouraging speed in recent race weekends but have yet to make significant gains in the championship standings. The 2.162-kilometre street circuit provides the perfect opportunity to change that.
“We’re really looking forward to the weekend and know what we need to focus on,” said team principal Christian Land. “The Norisring features two heavy braking zones at the Grundig Hairpin and Dutzendteich, where the cars slow down dramatically. We need to make sure the car is strong under braking to create overtaking opportunities, while also delivering good traction and drive out of those slow corners.”
As usual, the weekend features back-to-back races on Saturday and Sunday. The main difference at the Norisring is the qualifying format: for 2026, the DTM has once again adopted a split qualifying system to give every driver a fair opportunity to set a competitive lap on the short circuit. The combined results from Friday’s two free practice sessions will determine the qualifying groups. Drivers finishing in odd-numbered positions will be assigned to Group A, while those in even-numbered positions will compete in Group B.
All the action on Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast on free-to-air TV broadcaster ProSieben as well via the live streams on Joyn and YouTube.
