On 26 April, Land-Motorsport will open a special new chapter in its racing story. The team will be competing in the DTM for the first time, and with none other than former ADAC GT Masters champion Ricardo Feller. Powering the team’s debut effort in one of the most popular GT series in the world will be an Audi R8 LMS GT3.
Land-Motorsport’s entry into the DTM fell into place practically at the last minute, as Christian Land explains: “Ricardo should have been racing for another team in the DTM. However, that programme failed to materialise. We were in close contact with him and put together an alternative plan for the season.”
That plan includes Feller competing at all eight DTM race weekends for the team for which he enjoyed his first successes in 2019 at just 18 years of age. Supported by a top-class crew of mechanics and engineers, everything has been considered in the team’s efforts to put together the best possible programme for 2025, including a special lucky number on the Audi R8 LMS GT3: Feller won the ADAC GT Masters title with Land-Motorsport back in 2021 in the #29 car.
“Everything has come together perfectly, and I am glad to get the chance to take on the DTM this year with Land-Motorsport,” Feller said. “The last few weeks have been very challenging for me, and the collapse of my original DTM programme was a big setback. There was a great deal of uncertainty, and I am particularly grateful for Christian and Wolfgang Land for all their efforts. I would also like to thank Porsche for allowing me to go ahead with these plans.”
Land-Motorsport will travel to Oschersleben for testing with a spring in their step but also a long to-do list. The official pre-season test takes place on 1 April before the season kicks off at the same track later that month.
