The 71st running of the Total 24 Hours of Spa features the largest field ever seen at the Ardennes endurance classic, with 72 cars set to take the grid. In a top-class of drivers, Jamie Green secured P17 for the MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3 in Friday’s Super Pole session.
“After our performance yesterday, I was hoping for a better grid position than P17”, Green said. “A 24-hour race is all about being around the top 20, and our grid position gives us a chance of finishing well here.”
The MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport crew were in good shape in Free Practice, and were often among the quickest Audis on the track. In Qualifying, Christopher Mies, Ricardo Feller and Jamie Green put in some quick lap times to grab a ticket for Friday evening’s Super Pole session.
The Total 24 Hours of Spa is schedule to on Saturday 27th July at 4:30pm. The Niederdreisbach-based team are confident ahead of the endurance classic, with rain being forecast for the race.
