The Hankook 12H Misano sees the Land-Motorsport squad returning to the grid of the 24H Series. On 5 to 6 June, a trio of familiar faces will be taking turns behind the wheel of our R8 LMS GT3.
Dr. Johannes Kirchhoff, Elmar Grimm and Stefan Wieninger are the three experienced endurance drivers facing the twelve-hour race challenge. After the Niederdreisbach team achieved a fifth place in the Spa-Francorchamps 12-hour race at the beginning of the year, attention now focuses on the next round in Italy. They’ll once again be driving the car the fans love, the one with the KIRCHHOFF Group design.
“Our trio Johannes, Elmar and Stefan are highly effective. I’m sure we’ll find our pace pretty quickly”, says team manager Christian Land. “The Misano weekend will mean the continuation of a tight schedule for the team, there were only a few days preparation between the GTC race at the Nürburgring and the Misano 24H Series. Without the good planning and the crew’s tremendous work, we wouldn’t have got the job done.
Free practice and qualifying on Friday. As previous test sessions concentrated on finding the best-possible vehicle tuning, the race weekend starts officially at 12:00 midday with a 90-minute free practice session. Directly after that, between 16:20 and 17:15, the best grid positions for the coming race will be determined.
