The new season is taking shape for Land-Motorsport: part of the programme for 2023 will see the team contest GTC Race with an Audi R8 LMS GT3. With Carrie Schreiner and Peter Terting, two experienced drivers will join the team.
“We are happy to welcome Carrie and Peter to the team,” says team manager Christian Land. “The connection has been there for a long time. We have even raced against Carrie in the ADAC GT Masters, which is how we could assess her talent very well. Added to this is the experience gained in numerous series that both bring with them.”
In 2022 the duo put their skills to the test in the Nürburgring Endurance Series. On the Nordschleife, the two made it into the top 5 twice. Peter Terting can also look back on numerous races with big manufacturers competing for Abt-Audi in the DTM, Seat in the World Touring Car Championship and Hyundai in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.
For the 2023 season three race weekends in the GTC Race are scheduled. First up is the Lausitzring (2 to 4 June). At the end of June as well as in mid-October it’s back to the Nürburgring for a weekend on the short version of the legendary track.
The championship is not completely uncharted territory for Land-Motorsport: in 2012 the team participated with a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in the championship then known as “DMV GTC”. More races followed, in which gentlemen drivers were given the opportunity to steer the Audi R8 LMS GT3 under racing conditions.
